Feature film, in Polish with English and Hungarian subtitles
Krzysiek and his amateur troupe of actors with intellectual disabilities called “Personal Property Bureau” take part in a theatre festival where they earn the right to stage a play in a professional theatre. Great joy, great opportunity, great expectations – Krzysiek and the actors have been working on an adaptation of Zorba The Greek, and it would be fantastic to show it on a professional stage – but the offer from the theatre director turns out to have strings attached. In a heart-warming, humorous story, Krzysiek and the other actors give their “normal” peers a life lesson in freedom, dignity and humanity, highlighting the eternal truth that every human being is indeed special.
After the screening, there will be a discussion with the director Iwona Siekierzyńska and the co-author of the script Waleria Siekierzyńska.
